A São Tomé company, born from a trip and a friendship

How it all started

It all started with a holiday. Alexandru and Rafaela travelled from Portugal to discover São Tomé and Príncipe, and their guide was Jaime Pontes, a São Toméan who showed them the island with a knowledge and pride that are hard to forget.

Between trails and long conversations, Jaime shared his dream: to build a business in his homeland that would create jobs and support the local economy. They were deeply moved and, above all, convinced. They flew home, but the idea came with them.

From an idea to Leva-te Lá

That is how the partnership between Alexandru and Jaime began, and with it Leva-te Lá: a company based in São Tomé and run on the ground by people who know every road on the island.

We started with car rental because it was what we missed most on that holiday. Exploring São Tomé at your own pace, from the airport to the old plantations and the southern beaches, is the best way to experience it. What drives us

We want to grow together with the island. Every booking helps create local jobs and build a São Toméan company that leaves a mark on the country’s economy.
